About the designer / In October of 2003, Program Chair Heath Schenker and Professor Mark Francis approached students about participating in the Cornerstone Festival of Gardens. The design/build project would be offered as an independent study class; it would be student-led with faculty approving the final design. This garden represents the cumulative efforts of the students with help in installation from volunteer Roderick Smith.
