In a nod to Sonoma's prairie roots, the garden is composed of grasses and sedges. The grasses vary in color and texture, catching the light as they sway in the breeze. John Greenlee is a proponent of "plant-driven-design," which is to say that if you put the right plants in the right place then the plants will do the work.
